In 2021, Ben+STEM was in created with the paradigm that all students should have the opportunity to learn something new every day and have environmentally-friendly resources to do it. As parents, caregivers, educators, and partners of our local schools, we want to provide the resources where students are encouraged to be creative thinkers and doers during their academic careers so they will be well- positioned for personal and professional success.

Our work at Ben+STEM is a hodgepodge of a little bit of everything when it comes to environmental awareness and education! What kinds of outcomes are we hoping for? We want to help support students in their capacities of:

  • Environmental stewardship

  • Collaboration

  • Adaptability

  • Problem solving

  • Decision-making

  • Social awareness

  • Self confidence

  • Lifelong learning

We have identified many of the multi-tiered challenges that educational leaders, teachers, support staff, parents, family members, caregivers, and community partners experience when they want to provide students with the tools they need to succeed- and are working towards providing solutions for your utility.

INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE

Diversity enhances the resilience of social and environmental systems. We are committed to social justice in educational programs that support all educators and students and to the dismantling of social inequities, discrimination, low expectations, cultural bias and insensitivities, and maladaptive practices. We are committed to promoting educational programs that are socially responsible and apply inclusive practices to address these systemic problems and provide a safe space for educators and students to belong to and thrive within.
